Dental Technology

At Crestview Family Dental, we believe that using the latest dental technology allows us to provide a more comfortable and effective experience for our patients. To that end, we are always researching and adding new technology to our office. The following are just a few of the new technologies we are excited to share with you.

CEREC Single-Visit Dentistry

With our CEREC One-Visit Dentistry System, we use advanced, computer-designed plans to help us create restorations for you. CEREC technology means that we can provide you with restorative dental work, including crowns and veneers, which is manufactured in less than an hour. The system allows us to use quality materials to precisely and efficiently create beautiful, natural-looking restorations.

Soft Tissue Laser

Soft tissue lasers allow us to perform procedures that we previously performed using scalpels and sutures. Eliminating those more invasive methods provides you with a more comfortable experience in the dentist chair. We can remove damaged or unhealthy soft tissue using the lasers, which results in less bleeding and quicker healing times. We can use soft tissue lasers for:

  • Scaling and root planing
  • Crown lengthening
  • Reshaping the smile line

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays drastically reduce radiation exposure, making them much safer than traditional x-rays. They also provide clearer images of your teeth, even including the part of your tooth that is below the gums. Digital x-rays are more immediate, too; we can view them on computer monitors as you sit in the dentist chair. We can also store them electronically and easily send them to other dental professionals or your insurance company.

Electronic Charting

Electronic dental records are an important part of our practice. They allow us to easily share pertinent information with you while you’re in the dentist chair. We can also keep better track of your records and share them with specialists.

Digital Intraoral Camera

Intraoral cameras allow us to show you what is going on inside your mouth. This is an important tool for patient education. We have learned that showing our patients what we see means that you are better prepared to make good decisions about your treatment plan.

Oral Cancer Screenings

Oral cancer screenings allow us to catch problems or potential issues in their early stages, giving you a much greater chance for recovery. This dental technology can detect mouth lesions and tumors, which you can then have removed before they become cancerous.
